TERRITORY EV: MORE AN ELECTRIC SUV FOR CHINA

Ford raises its bid for electrification in China. The new Ford Territory will be key in the roadmap that the American manufacturer will follow in the Asian giant. This SUV will be marketed with both a 48-volt semi-hybrid technology and a plug-in hybrid version, and what's even more interesting with a fully electric mechanic.
The new Ford Territory EV is already a reality and is ready for your landing at the Chinese dealers. Territory's 100% electric version comes on the scene with more than satisfying performance, an interior laden with technology and quality finishes. This model is the result of the collaboration between Ford and its local partner, Jiangling Motors Corporation.
Aesthetically the differences between the Ford Territory EV and the model propelled by an internal combustion engine are remarkable. Among the colors available for the body there will be a unique tonality called Moonlight Blue. Of course, the EV badge is present and the grid has been revised. The front bumper is slightly different and also releases new LED lights for daytime running in the format of the letter C.
Another differentiating detail is the new alloy wheels whose design improves aerodynamic performance. At the rear there is also news, since the exhaust exits do not exist. The rear bumper is different and the flashlights also use LED technology.
In relation to the interior, it is where less differentiating elements will be. To give it a certain personality of its own, Ford opted for some glossy black finishes, details similar to carbon fiber, polished metal and other materials. The shift lever is also different. The lighting system allows you to choose from more than seven colors, and to enhance your technological vehicle condition, comes a digital instrument panel with a 10.25-inch screen, as well as a 10-inch touch screen for the infotainment system. As for the mechanical part of the new Territory EV, under its hood is an electric motor 118 kW (161 hp) that allows it to reach a top speed of 150 km / h. The commercialization of the new Ford Territory EV will begin in the second half of this year. It will be produced in China by the joint venture between Ford and Jiangling. Ford also confirmed that it will offer a cargo service in select cities in China.
