SPICE-X: AN ELECTRIC MONOLUGAR OF COMPETITION
In the last month of June a new prototype was presented to the world in the Hall of Turin - at the Parco Valentino - that went a little unnoticed for the general public. This is the Spice-X, which has a number of interesting features for fans of track days in circuits and respect the environment. Because the single unit that appears in the images below is totally electric.
The design of this new vehicle is a project of Fabrizio Pepe, who together with his team created a compact, practical and lightweight model. Among the few final data that have been released from the car, a length of 3.827 mm and a width of 1695 mm appears.
In addition, the materials used to manufacture it are cheap, as the idea is that the vehicle is as popular as possible. Of course no one expects a bargain, something that no electric model is nowadays, much less being a sport.
The Spice-X, in addition to being designed for competition tracks, can be a perfect bet for slalom races or mountain climbs. Even its creators say that the car can perform races in the center of the big cities in the purest style of Formula E. Regarding its engine, for now still nothing is known.
In spite of this lack of information, the creators of this new racing car are convinced that it will be a real revolution, especially since there are no options in the market destined for the competition that have been created with the idea of being able to offer an affordable cost to the customer. This is not to say that we are not in front of a fast vehicle, since the Spice-X promises to be an aerodynamic reference. In addition, its cockpit is designed for all types of pilots, offering more space than you normally have in a single seat. Finally, the car will be available in two versions, one with a roof and another without, but with glass protectors.
