IVECO
BRAND WILL PRESENT COMPLETE LINE OF VEHICLES WITH ELECTRIC TRACTION AND CNG
The participation of IVECO in the 67th edition of IAA Commercial Vehicles, the most important international event in the commercial vehicle sector, to be held in Hanover, Germany from September 20 to 27, will highlight the long-range environmental benefits of Natural Gas Vehicle (CNG) and electric technology.IVECO will work in collaboration with Shell, which shares the belief that the decarbonisation of the transportation sector requires a number of fuels and technologies. In the transport of cargo and passengers, NGV, for example, provides a reduction of more than 90% of NO2 emissions, 99% of particulate matter and 95% of CO2 with biomethane. In the space of the manufacturer, a debate will be held on 'the energy transition to a sustainable future', as well as a series of workshops with specific topics related to the adoption of alternative traction technologies in the transport sector and the opportunities for a circular economy approach ."The pressure on diesel is increasing, as public opinion has turned against it. The European Union (EU) institutions and national governments are introducing policies and subsidies to support the conversion of fleets to green technologies. At IAA, IVECO, in collaboration with Shell, will demonstrate that its full power and CNG offer is available as a viable alternative to diesel vehicles, "says Pierre Lahutte, world president of IVECO.
IVECO AND IVECO BUS
PortfolioThe 18 products on display will show the sustainable solutions of IVECO and IVECO BUS, from long distance freight to people's urban mobility, which make up a complete offer.IVECO will present five versions of Daily Hi-Matic Natural Power, the first CNG-powered vehicle with an eight-speed automatic transmission from the light commercial vehicle industry. The model demonstrates the wide variety of missions that this family of vehicles can meet, freeing shipping companies from stricter restrictions on emissions and noise regulations. Two Eurocargos, the 'Truck that the city likes' and the owner of the title 'Truck of the Year 2016', in CNG-powered version, will be at the booth. The products are already in compliance with the EURO VI Step D emission standards, one year in advance. With their low emissions and quiet operation, Eurocargo NP trucks can enter restricted traffic areas in city centers, a key advantage in multipoint and municipal missions.
IVECO will show, for long distance missions, the 26 tonne Stralis NP 400 rigid with refrigerated body, presenting for the first time to Carrier Supra CNG technology to feed the cooling group. This truck represents the industry's first with two refrigerated diesel engines, replaced by state-of-the-art stoichiometric natural gas engines. It also offers ultra-low emissions of NO2 and particulate material, low CO2 emissions and quiet operation, ideal for supplying supermarkets in the city center at night. The installation includes three CNG tanks with a length of 1 000 km.

The IVECO BUS has chosen to reduce the battery on board the vehicle to a minimum with its moving charging technology highlighted in the new electric Crealis. This bus combines overhead power cables with a small on-board battery. This means that a new electric bus route can be deployed even if there are sections without hanging cables, considerably reducing the complexity and costs without losing time to recharge. Crealis's mobile charging technology received the Paris Salon du Transport Public innovation award for this innovation.
Cursor 9 Natural Power engine |
For public transportation, the brand will display Crossway Low Entry Natural Power, winner of the title 'Sustainable Bus of the Year 2018'. This vehicle features a unique design with integrated gas tanks in the roof space, has a range of up to 600 km and provides the high performance and low emissions of the Cursor 9 Natural Power engine.
