FIRESTONE LANÇA PNEU PARA O SEGMENTO RODOVIÁRIO COM MELHOR PERFORMANCE QUILOMÉTRICA E NOTA ‘A’ EM ADERÊNCIA AO PISO MOLHADO Imagens e fotos de carroBRAND LAUNCHES TIRE FOR THE ROAD SEGMENT WITH BEST KILOMETRIC PERFORMANCE AND 'A' NOTE IN ADHERENCE TO THE WET FLOOR

Bridgestone, the world's largest tire manufacturer and owner of the Firestone brand, launches the FS440 radial tire, its flagship product for the road segment. The new model features 20% better mileage performance than its predecessor, the FS400. In addition, the model presents note 'A' in the Brazilian Labeling Program (PBE), in the adhesion to the wet floor."Better mileage performance without giving up comfort and safety to drivers. This was the main focus of the FS440's development, "said Oduvaldo Viana, Bridgestone's Director of Marketing. "We put all our knowledge, innovation and technology to develop the best tire of the category", explains Viana. The FS440 is a tubeless radial tire developed for use in smooth, directional, and free-wheel axles of trucks and buses that travel on paved roads of short, medium and long distances. With greater depth of grooves, to improve mileage performance, the FS440 has rounded shoulders, which increase lateral drag resistance, preventing premature detachment of the tread. Completing the product features, the launch features nozzles in the center grooves that help lower retention of stones and Groove Fence, a technology that reduces noise. Both rounded shoulders and ejectors allow for a higher tire recovability index, which helps with cost management efficiency by fleet owners and truck and bus drivers as the tire's representativeness is very large."The pickle sector is increasingly consolidated in Brazil, as it can help in this cost reduction. The practice of picking allows the tire to be re-used in complete safety and to add a new tread (part that comes into contact with the ground). In this way, pickup can reduce the cost per kilometer of the tire and bring benefits to suppliers, consumers and the environment, "adds Viana. In the safety issue, the model has a great prominence which is its excellent adhesion to the wet floor. The FS440 received an 'A' grade in the 275/80 R22.5 measure, according to the criteria established by Inmetro for the Brazilian Tagging Program (PBE) for tires.
