THE FIRST OFFICIAL IMAGES OF LYNK & CO
Lynk & Co, the new Chinese brand of Geely, the current owner of Volvo, has released the first official images of Lynk & Co 03, a sedan that will soon debut in the Chinese market, but plans to land in other international markets as well. This is the production version of the model presented as a prototype last year at the Shanghai Hall, which with very slight changes is now ready to reach the dealers of the brand in China. Like the rest of the line, the new '03' is based on Volvo's Modular Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform.

Externally the model features a Lynk & Co 01 inspired front, which includes the main headlamps located high and a thin grid. The body no longer takes the ceiling in counter tone like the prototype, but the mirrors are painted black. The sporty touch is provided by the rear diffuser that integrates the dual exhaust pipes, as well as a discreet airfoil integrated over the trunk lid and two-tone alloy wheels.

For the time being the manufacturer has not released images from abroad, but will not have many changes compared to the prototype, which included a large touch screen for the infotainment system, plus a configurable digital command board, internet connection, storage system based in the cloud, LED ambient lighting, etc.

The new '03' is equipped with a turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.5-liter three-cylinder that develops 156 horsepower, but this configuration will only be available in the Chinese market, since in other markets the model will be offered only in hybrid and electric versions, with a configuration similar to the Volvo XC40.This new model will go on sale in China very soon, but Geely plans to launch the model in the United States and Europe next year.
