THE FIRST OFFICIAL IMAGE OF THE NEW 'A CLASS'
Following the arrival of the new generation of Mercedes-Benz A Class, the German manufacturer is close to presenting the sedan body version of the compact, a model that before the market's arrival at the end of this year of 2018, already holds a record.According to the German manufacturer's statement, the new Mercedes-Benz A Class Sedan has a drag coefficient of 0.22, enough to be able to beat the records of some of the most aerodynamic cars on the market today, while at the same time overtaking the version numbers of five-door A Class, thanks to the advantages that the third volume of the sedan version offers in aerodynamic terms. In this way, the new Mercedes-Benz A Class Sedan will become the production vehicle with the lowest aerodynamic coefficient in the market and that is why the German manufacturer chose to publish its first image inside the wind tunnel, one of the keys to being able to optimize the air resistance down to the last detail. The established record was made possible by the fairing in the lower part of the body, the floor, the engine compartment, and even some parts of the rear axle, in addition to a diffuser. The good aerodynamic properties of the new Mercedes-Benz A Class Sedan contribute to reducing fuel consumption under normal conditions of use.Mercedes-Benz also ensures that the new A Class Sedan will maintain the leading position in terms of interior space within its segment, especially in the rear seats, one of the benefits of the new compact platform on which it was developed. The sedan version of the new generation of Mercedes-Benz A Class will be manufactured at the brand's plant in Rastatt (Germany) and Aguascalientes (Mexico). Its arrival in the market is expected before the end of this year.
