M8 COUPE APPEARS STILL CAMOUFLAGED
The new BMW M8 is still in testing. The camouflage covering its gray body is the new brand designed for the models that are already in the last phase of their technical journey of adjustment and pre-production, but at the same time, also has inclusions that prevent seeing your final design. This is the case with the front bumper. At this stage of development and compared to other models, the prototype of the new M8 takes a lot of camouflage in the lower part of the front protection, not allowing you to see what the aggressive design of the air intakes will be, bigger than the new M850i xDrive Coupe, since it will be much more powerful than this.
While we can see perfectly the large brake discs drilled in the front and rear, plus the four large exhaust pipes, the test unit still does not show the characteristic M-shaped 'horn' rear-view mirrors, details that will be mounted on a few months and are expected to begin to be revealed soon, since the model is following milestones developmentally, as is usual in the models of the sports division.
The still future BMW M8 will be the most powerful model manufactured so far by the German brand. The top-of-the-line version of the new 8 Series will maintain a more than significant difference with the M850i xDrive, although using the same engine, the TwinPower Turbo eight-cylinder engine with 4.4 liters reaching a maximum power of 620 hp.If this number is confirmed, the difference with the M850i will mean a distance of 90 hp between both models, putting the new M8 at the same level of British rivals as the Aston Martin DB11 and Vantage, two GT's on the market that are compared to the German model by BMW's own staff. Also, for those interested in this model and who are not satisfied with the performance of the M850i xDrive, they should know that the date of submission has already been set. It will happen in April 2019 estimating the delivery of the units to customers from the European summer, about a year after the presentation of the conventional model.
