The VW electric truck developed in Brazil

The Volkswagen e-Delivery is the first 100% electric light truck. The model developed in Brazil was presented at the Innovation Day held in Germany.The truck is equipped with the electric motor WEG AL160 that has power of 109 hp and torque of 50,27 kgfm. The propeller works in conjunction with the Allison automatic transmission. The motor is powered LiFePO4 lithium-ion battery banks. The autonomy is 200 kilometers. The Volkswagen e-Delivery will be available in 9- and 11-ton models, depending on the customer's needs."E-Delivery represents a milestone in the history of Volkswagen Trucks and Buses. Recharge
The Volkswagen e-Delivery has two recharging options. One is a quick opportunity recharge, where you can secure 30% of the load in just 15 minutes, and can be performed multiple times along the route of the vehicle to increase its autonomy. The other option is the slow recharge that reaches the maximum load in three hours.



Plug-in
According to Volkswagen Trucks, in the plug-in concept, the truck's batteries are recharged by a standard external charger CCS. Its operation is quite simple and widespread in the electrical industry.BrakesThe light truck has a brake system with three stages of regeneration, which can be adjusted according to the load condition or preference of the driver. According to Volkswagen Trucks, the regenerative brake acts before the pneumatic brake, to decelerate the vehicle, recovering up to 30% of energy during braking and using it to recharge the batteries.

Systems
The Volkswagen e-Delivery auxiliary systems such as the air compressor, air conditioning, steering pump and water are powered with independent electric motors to the traction, optimizing the traction capacity of the main engine. The axles, suspension, chassis, wheels and tires follow the traditional characteristics and robustness of the new Delivery line, sharing common components with the platform.
