KODIAQ RS BEATS THE RECORD OF NÜRBURGRING

The new Skoda Kodiaq RS, which will be presented at the Paris Motor Show in October, set a new record on the demanding Nürburgring circuit. Led by Sabine Schmitz, Skoda's first SUV to display the 'RS' emblem completed a 'green hell' lap in 9 minutes and 29.84 seconds, setting a record for the 7-seater SUV series.
The video released by Skoda shows a well-liked Sabine Schmitz (the only woman to win the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring) driving the large SUV during the record lap. The event took place on May 18.
Skoda is keen to point out that Kodiaq in the video is "exactly the same" as the version that will be presented in Paris and later put up for sale. The new Czech SUV is equipped with a TDI 2.0 twin-turbo four-cylinder engine capable of developing 240 hp of power and 500 Nm of maximum torque.
