HUMMER H1 MILITARY UPDATED
The Hummer H1 continues to be a sales success, but only in its original military version, since its creators, AM General, continue with its production, but without using the Hummer brand, because it remains owned by General Motors. In recent times the celebrated original HMMWV has received notable improvements and modifications, but the new NXT 360 version that has just been presented by AM General is undoubtedly the largest update ever submitted the unbeatable all-terrain since it began to be manufactured in the mid of the 1980s.

At first glance these modifications can be appreciated, as their appearance changes considerably, especially in the front, where new wheel arches appear, aggressive black protections, as well as modified optics and grille. But the new design was not exactly one of AM General's engineers' goals, as most of the news can not be seen. The new HMMWV NXT 360 pack features superior shielding, chassis, axles and all body panels, including the doors themselves, have been redesigned to better withstand the impact of lightweight projectiles.

This upgrade of the armor meant a greater weight, so the brake system was improved, including the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and the automatic emergency braking system, in addition to traction control, elements that are normally designed for a vehicle of this type. The NXT 360 package continues to feature elements of the H1, such as the tire pressure system underway, which has now been reinforced with the addition of a second air compressor to increase the tire inflation speed.

The engine continues to be an immense 6.5-liter diesel V8, but with a superior performance: 253 hp and 624 Nm of maximum torque. The increase in power allows the maximum weight of the vehicle to be increased, now showing on the balance 7,030 kilograms.
