TESLA

BRAND A NEW MODEL MYSTERIOUS IN YOUR LATEST VIDEO

The American brand has released a new promotional video showing the company's different aspects and facilities, from the Fremont factory to the Nevada facility, and of course, with the company's constant presence from Model S to Model 3. But the real surprise was a new model that is not yet part of the Tesla line.In the first moments of the video we can clearly see a part of the area of prototypes of the mark, where clearly shows a prototype partially hidden under a canvas. And although his features are not appreciated, only his size and profile, this model does not correspond to any of those already known. The model of the brand that everyone awaits is the future Model Y, the smaller version of the Model X crossover, which will complete the whimsical system of nomenclatures of the brand, which tries to form the word 'S-3-X-Y'. Hence, in the face of the impossibility of calling it Model E (name already registered by another manufacturer) they had to use the name Model 3, because of its similarity to the capital letter 'E'.The profile of the model seems to want to advance precisely a crossover, since the roof line seems quite high and very similar to the Model X, however, appreciating the rest of the body looks like a small sedan. Maybe a new compact model, but it is not likely.
If this new model is really the Model Y, or at least a more advanced prototype, it will be as expected, ie a reduced Model X type. The Model X does not have the usual crossover profile we can find on the market, nor does it have its ground clearance, and by the looks of it, this new model will not count on that either. The Model Y presentation date is still a mystery, but it is expected to be unveiled later this year, as production is set to begin in late 2019, Elon Musk said. Its base price is expected to be slightly above $ 35,000 for Model 3, somewhere around $ 40,000.
