CORSA GSi 2019 WILL CONTINUE WITH TURBO ENGINE
With the launch of the new Opel Corsa GSi 2019 scheduled to take place this month, the German brand, which is now owned by the PSA Group, announced more details and images of this new 'spicy' version of the Opel model, which promises a behavior. The acronym GSi has always been linked to the more sporty versions of Opel, and the German manufacturer seems willing to regain this tradition with the new Opel Corsa GSi 2019, a model that was developed and adjusted in the German circuit of the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The new Corsa GSi will be powered by a 1.4 liter turbo engine that develops 150 hp of power and a maximum torque of 220 Nm, a propeller that will allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 207 km / h, all with an average approved consumption of 16.1 km / l liters and CO2 emissions of 143 g / km.With a sports chassis derived from the OPC version, the Corsa GSi features stiffer suspensions and oversized brakes, which ensure excellent cornering performance.
In terms of aesthetics, the new Corsa GSi 2019 is based on the three-door body, a body format that is less usual on the market. Given its sporty character, it shows a more aggressive design, with a new front bumper with large air intakes, a hood that includes an opening to cool the engine, mirrors with carbon fiber-like finish and 18-alloy wheels inches. At the rear there is a new design bumper, as well as an oval exhaust pipe and an airfoil over the rear cover. For now, Opel has not released images of the interior, but will probably have bucket seats signed by Recaro, sports steering wheel and leather-wrapped shift grip, etc.
