BRAND MAJORIZE AESTHETICS AND XUV500 EQUIPMENTTo prevent the Mahindra XUV500 from losing appeal in the face of increasing competition, the makers of the Indian brand decided to apply a restyling. The points where the greatest emphasis was applied by the brand's engineers to revamp the XUV500 were aesthetics (exterior and interior), technological equipment and its mechanical line. With this set of changes, the leaders of the Indian group expect their worldwide sales to support until the XUV500 replacement reaches the market in two years.

In relation to its aesthetics, the Mahindra XUV500 debuts a front part where it integrates a new grid in which are mixed chrome details with others in black enamelled. Emerging headlights appear where the daytime running lights are inserted by LEDs in a different position. The side view of the model has hardly changed, although the design of its alloy wheels has been modified.

The rear of the XUV500 has also been modified and new flashlights of larger size and rearranged interior layout appear. The rear lid, which gives access to the trunk, includes a chrome frame that reduces the weight of its design. These changes complete two new shades for the body, as well as bumpers of revised lines and more muscular contours.

The changes introduced inside the XUV500 are more subtle than those received outdoors. The basic lines that define the personality of the panel have not been altered, thus keeping its structure intact. The modifications focus on new decorative frames finished in Piano Black and a new leather upholstery for the most complete finishes.

The equipment of the Indian crossover was also modified, not in the number of elements available, but in the enrichment of the access versions to the line. In it, the 6.0-inch touch-screen infotainment system signed by the Arkamys expert, integrated navigation system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, two-zone climate control, light and rain sensors, and the sunroof stand out.

In mechanical terms, the Mahindra XUV500 incorporates the new petrol engine with four cylinders and 2.0 liters that delivers a power of 140 hp. In the diesel line, the engineers reviewed the consumption and emissions of the 2.2-liter four-cylinder block, boosting power to 155 hp. Both engines can be combined with a 6-speed manual transmission, but only diesel can include an automatic. Finally, the all-wheel drive is optional in the most complete versions.
