McLaren studies entry into Indy for 2019 season

McLaren's move to Indy in 2017, with the participation of Fernando Alonso in the Indianapolis 500, seems to have ignited the missing spark so that the orange team, definitively, become part of the American category. On Monday, the SportsBusiness newspaper said that the Woking team is discussing with two teams at Indy the entry into the category from 2019.According to the publication, the talks in search of this alliance are made with Andretti, the team that McLaren teamed with last year's Indy 500, and with RLL.Both teams were contacted by the newspaper - but only Andretti spoke at the outset. In an official statement, the team running for Michael Andretti did not enter into any conversation, but praised the F1 team."We believe that McLaren would be a valuable addition to our paddock. Our partnership in the Indy 500 of 2017 proved to be successful and we are open to being able to work together again. should be made directly to McLaren. "Alonso participated, with a papaya orange car, as McLaren painted his cars in the current F1 season of the last edition of the Indy 500, leaving aside his participation in the Monaco Grand Prix. He came to lead the race at Indianapolis, but was forced to drop out due to Honda engine problem.
