A NEW SUV COUPE OF THE GERMAN BRAND

The new Borgward SUV coupe is now official in its production format, as the German manufacturer presented the first images and information of this new model that in 2016 we could meet in the format of a prototype that was presented at the Geneva Motor Show.Without major visual differences compared to the conceptual work presented in 2016, the new Borgward BX6 features a front end that gains a new design grille and some subtle differences in external trims. At the rear stands out its coupe-style format, and a vertical cover that reveals a trunk, in addition to double exhaust pipes that manage to give a sporty touch to the set.

Among the most relevant equipment we find an infotainment system equipped with a floating 8.0-inch touch screen, two-zone automatic climate control, four electric windows, thermal mirrors, on-board computer, electric driver's seat with ten adjustment modes, access without key, button start, multifunction steering wheel, sunroof, electric handbrake, LED daytime running lights, alloy wheels, etc.

Regarding the mechanical part, this new Borgward crossover uses a gasoline turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0-liter, which develops 224 hp of power and a maximum torque of 300 Nm, which comes coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. According to the data supplied by the manufacturer, its average approved consumption is 14 km / l.


The new Borgward BX6 will initially be launched in the Middle East and South America later this year 2018, while in 2019 it will hit Asian markets. For now the manufacturer has not confirmed its arrival in Europe.

If we take a look inside the new Borgward BX6, we realize that it has a cabin that continues in the design style of the rest of the models of the brand, with good quality materials to cover most surfaces, leather upholstery, steering wheel and gear hanger clad in leather.
