In a world dominated by SUVs, some brands are still betting on the sedans, which are often directed to the US market, where even this type of body has very good acceptance, especially in the United States.Taking advantage of the New York 2018 Motor Show, which will start in a matter of hours, the Japanese brand has just presented the first official information and images of the new generation of the Nissan Altima, which is completely upgraded both inside and outside, the purpose of continuing to attract the interested in this type of vehicle.Outwardly the new Nissan Altima accompanies the design present in the latest launches of the Japanese brand, highlighting its front with the grid in the shape of the letter 'V' and a general appearance of more aggressive and strong character. The light alloy wheels up to 19 inches, the discreet aerofoil rear mounted on the trunk lid and dual exhaust pipes, are responsible for giving a sporty touch to the set.

As for the interior, the new Nissan Altima 2019 conveys an image of comfort and superior quality, thanks in part to the excellent materials used to cover most surfaces. Of note is the infotainment system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen that includes Bluetooth, USB and multiple connectivity options, as well as compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The equipment also includes a series of assistances to the driving, among which stand out the alert of involuntary change of range, autonomous braking with detection of pedestrians, alert of cross traffic, detection of objects in reversing maneuvers with automatic braking, etc.The initial line of engines includes two new features. The first one is related to the six-cylinder engine that will no longer be offered, as has recently occurred with the new Honda Accord. Instead, the Altima will debut a new turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine, details of which have yet to be provided. In addition, it retains the 2.5-liter block from the previous generation, although it has undergone some improvements in order to reduce consumption and emissions.

The arrival of the new Nissan Altima 2019 is scheduled for the last quarter of the year, initially in the United States.
