BMW i4 WILL REACH THE MARKET IN 2025
BMW was bold a few years ago when it decided to launch the family of electric vehicles 'i'. Thanks to the i3 and i8, they have managed to win the respect of the public and the critics, because although they are niche products and with unbelievably high prices, it is necessary to understand that they are worth with the technological and image set that they give to those who direct them. However, the family should grow with new models coming soon. The BMW i5 is one of those that is in the oven, but it will not be the only model that is coming, because taking advantage of the Geneva Motor Show that happens these days, Harald Krüger, CEO of BMW, confirmed some news that were circulating in the market. The first and best known is that within seven years, the brand will have up to 25 fully electric models in its line. One of them will be the spectacular i4, an electric coupe that will derive from the BMW i Vision Dynamics that we could meet in the last Frankfurt Motor Show. This model, with coupe body and four doors, will have an electric motor that, thanks to the high capacity of its battery, can run up to 600 kilometers with a recharge. In addition, the brand has announced that it will perform terrifically as it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 km / h.Of course, the positioning of i4 in the BMW line will be between the current i3 and i8 and below the future i5. For this to be possible, it is understood that it will share the same platform that will give life to the i5, as the brand announced for some time that they are looking for a way to contain the development costs and in turn, to be able to launch more electric models in the market .In any case, its arrival in the market is expected for the year 2015, so it is still a long time before BMW can plan its strategy to launch it in the market. The i4 should share technology with the next electric MINI and with iNEXT, so there is still plenty of time to know about its technical part.
