RENOVATED STATION WAGON KOREAN ARRIVES GENEVA WITH A NEW AESTHETIC AND NEW ENGINES
On the occasion of the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, which will open its doors to the public between March 8 and 18, many manufacturers are finalizing their launches and renovations. One of them comes from the Korean brand, which has just revealed the new KIA Optima, in the images the Sportswagon version, a complete update that affects the aesthetic level, powertrains and equipment levels.The current KIA Optima generation, which was launched two years ago, is undergoing its first restyling in European markets. It benefits from changes in the front bumper and the rear bumper in the sedan version, as well as the distinctive brand 'tiger nose' grille with a chrome rim and redesigned front and rear headlamps, as well as the antinebline headlamps.
The range of colors has been updated with a new shade of red and customers can choose from different designs of alloy wheels. The update of the KIA Optima is also reflected in driving assistants and safety systems, with the latest manufacturer updates, with a complete and renewed line of engines as the main novelty within the restyling.
Regarding diesel engines, the KIA Optima will have a new block 'U3' 1.6 CRDi that equips the new KIA Ceed and that replaces the current 1.7 liters. Add to this a 1.6-liter 1.6-liter diesel engine, which is located below the 2.0-liter CVVL 163-hp engine, which is at the same time the most powerful option in the GT-finished version 2.0 T-GDi of 245 cv. The new 1.6 T-GDi engine is coupled to a seven-speed manual transmission and dual clutch with paddle shifts behind the steering wheel.
