Coinciding with the launch of Gran Turismo Sport, the latest edition of the car racing video game saga, the Italian design studio has introduced the Zagato Iso Rivolta Vision Gran Turismo, a 1,000-horsepower sports car that will be available in the new edition of the video game. In addition, a real model was presented at the Tokyo Salon 2017, an event that will be open until November 5.

The original Iso Rivolta was a great coupe of the 60's that featured a design signed by Bertone and a powerful 5.4 liter V8 engine of General Motors origin and shared with the contemporary generation of the Chevrolet Corvette. Zagato Vision GT adopts this same idea and aims to give it a more modern exterior design, with a front with sharp edges and small narrow headlights, marked wheel arches, a bubble-shaped ceiling and a rear with the central exhaust outlet is raised.

"Our next objective is for this car that was born in Gran Turismo to get off the road in real life and one day to appear in its rearview mirror, surpassing at great speed," said Norihiko Harada, Zagato's VP of design. "When that happens, you will feel that the limits of your imagination will be tested, erasing reality."For now, Zagato is looking for clients that will allow it to produce three to five copies of Iso Rivolta Vision Gran Turismo. True to the original model, the car will feature a 6.2-liter V8 twin-turbo engine signed by Callaway and delivering 1,000 horsepower associated with a 10-speed automatic transmission that will direct the power directly to the rear wheels. With a weight of 1,129 kilos, the coupe will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.7 seconds and will reach a top speed of 365 km / h.
