Scout Boober presents himself in Lisbon
Yesterday, at the end of the day and at the invitation of the Indian Motorcycle Lisbon, we went to their new store to watch the official launch of Indian Scout Bobber, a new model of the Scout range with 1133cc motor and 94Cv of power that completes the offer of the North American Indian brand with a new model, aggressive and irreverent looking and especially aimed at a younger market segment. After the closure of Victory, the Polaris Group decided to keep the Indian brand as its flagship brand on both wheels and concentrate on it all its investments.Scout Bobber invokes the old post-war American concept when there was a reduced motorcycle production and a huge surplus of military motorcycles. The motorcyclists began to use them removing all the uninteresting material and drastically reducing their weight by reducing the size of certain elements, namely shortening the rear mudguard that has been dubbed the concept of motorcycle, "Bob Tail".
The new Indian Scout Bobber is not too radical a bike despite its rebellious and aggressive appearance. The Bobber concept is indeed patent in the model but is more aesthetic, in a business approach perfectly framed in the current retro trends of the market, with Indian choosing to darken the Bobber in relation to its Scout base version that mounts more chrome.
The option of using the dark tones predominates in almost all its elements, including in the frame itself, engine, exhausts, suspensions, swingarm, engine covers and varied parts of the motorcycle even the Indian Scout Bobber itself. The gauges unlike the usual Indian background beije are also black. The headlights and flashers are LED.Technology and black finish.
The 1,133cc two-cylinder engine delivers 94CV at 8,000rpm with a torque of 97Nm at 5,800rpm, coupled with the electronic injection delivers a smooth, progressive response, more like a cruiser than the more aggressive temperament expected in a Bobber, making its use more comprehensive and less radical.
