The current generation of the Mercedes-Benz G Class faces the final stretch of its commercial life. However, the iconic all-terrain Mercedes-Benz will soon receive a renewal to keep up to date in a market that is constantly evolving. Although the new generation is on the way, the current G Class, especially the Mercedes-AMG versions, remain the subject of the main preparers. The Ares Design team has just presented its new creation based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63: the new Ares X-Raid.
The company founded by Dany Bahar, known for being CEO of Lotus Cars, completely renovated the German all-terrain. In addition to changing its exterior and interior appearance, it also prepared very interesting modifications for the mechanical part.

The new body designed by Ares Design for the new Ares X-Raid uses lightweight and sturdy materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum. Thanks to this, it was possible to reduce the weight of the vehicle in 200 kilos. In addition to weight loss, the car comes with a more urban, modern and stylish image. Clearly, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 square design that is currently available at dealerships is left behind.

Ares Design guarantees to have been inspired by the new design language of Mercedes-Benz. He also wears new Forres X-Raid designed forged wheels with a size of 22 inches.
Inside, the new features include a new instrument panel, Nappa leather upholstery, two individual 'VIP' rear seats separated by a center console, and top quality materials. In mechanical terms, under the hood of the X-Raid is a 5.5-liter V8 engine modified to develop a total power of 760 hp. Thanks to this engine, coupled with a full-drive system and a seven-speed automatic transmission, it will be able to reach a top speed of 250 km / h. Remembering that as standard the Mercedes-AMG G 63 produces 571 hp and its top speed is at 210 km / h.
On the other hand, Ares Design confirmed the construction of a factory in Modena (Italy) with an area of 18,000 square meters. The company also plans to release a coupe version of the Bentley Mulsanne. For some of his projects, he has the collaboration of well-known trainer Mcchip-DKR. For now, the price of the new Ares X-Raid is unknown, but the company is already accepting reserves of it.
