ISABELLA CONCEPT STREET IN FRANKFURT

The German brand presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 the model that everyone expected since it announced its return to the market. The new Borgward Isabella debuts as a prototype in the German event, with a futuristic exterior design, combined with some traits of the original model.
After introducing a few crossovers specifically for the Chinese market, Borgward presents a conceptual work that advances the forms of the model that will become its first sedan of this new era, a model that recovers a historical denomination for the German brand.

New Borgward Isabella presentes great proportions, since its body measures 5 meters of length, 1.4 meters of height and 1.92 meters of width. Being a prototype, the Isabella shows some design exaggerations, including gigantic sliding doors, that will never materialize into a production model.The body stands out for its streamlined and aerodynamic lines, with a sharp front without bumper, with the brand logo at its center and generous air intakes giving the sporty touch. At the rear highlights the curious design of its pillar and LED taillights and slim format.The interior clearly shows that we are facing a prototype, with a futuristic design full of lines, folds, colors and textures, typical of a conceptual work.In relation to its mechanics, the new Isabella has an electric motor that develops 300 hp of power and a maximum torque of 450 Nm, with four-wheel drive. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km / h, although Borgward has not disclosed data on the capacity of its batteries, as well as its autonomy.It is not yet known if the new Borgward Isabella will be manufactured in series, although we assume it will be. We will have to wait for more details that will surely arrive during the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017.
