Volkswagen ID. Cross 2026: 28,000 euros
The Volkswagen ID. Cross will be launched on the European market in autumn 2026, with a starting price of around 28,000 euros.
This five-seater model is aimed at customers who want to enjoy first-class electric mobility that is suitable for everyday use and affordable.
The ID. Cross is said to be a compact SUV in the T-Cross class, combining accessibility, charisma and 100% Volkswagen DNA.
In terms of dimensions, the ID. Cross is 4153 mm long, 1794 mm wide, 1581 mm high, the wheelbase is 2601 mm, while the luggage compartment volume is 475 to 1340 liters.
The exterior of the ID. Cross is characterized by the new Pure Positive Volkswagen design language with clear lines, balanced proportions and a high-quality appearance. At the same time, the ID. Cross appears deliberately inconspicuous, but confident.
The interior, according to the company, also conveys a sense of calm and clarity, while the materials and workmanship are oriented towards the higher vehicle classes. Five seats, efficient use of space and intuitive functions and buttons, as well as large-format displays, round off the overall high-quality impression.
Modern assistance systems support the driver and contribute to a high level of comfort.
In terms of the drive system, the ID. Cross is flexibly positioned. Power levels of 85 kW/116 hp, 99 kW/135 hp and 155 kW/211 hp will be offered, in combination with batteries of 37 kWh and 52 kWh (net) and a range of up to 436 km. This means that the model covers a variety of usage profiles – from predominantly city driving to regular trips outside the city.
The ID. Cross is also future-proof when it comes to charging, enabling DC fast charging of up to 90 kW – with a larger battery of up to 105 kW.
37 kWh battery (LFP): This lithium-iron-phosphate battery provides a predicted range of approximately 316 km. It is the standard battery for the following versions:
ID. Cross Trend: Equipped with an 85 kW/116 hp engine
ID. Cross Life and ID. Cross Style: Equipped as standard with a 99 kW/135 hp engine
52 kWh battery (NMC): This nickel-manganese-cobalt battery offers an increased predicted range of approximately 436 km. It is available as an option for:
ID. Cross Life and ID. Cross Style: Paired with the most powerful engine offering 155 kW/211 hp
With its combination of compact dimensions, modern technologies and assistance systems, high build quality, plenty of space and a starting price of around 28,000 euros, the new ID. Cross offers an attractive price-performance ratio.
