Singer reinvents the Porsche 911 Cabriolet
By the mid-1980’s the personalization Porsche first offered for the Carrera Coupe had reached the Carrera Cabriolet, which could be ordered with the wider body of the 911 Turbo but powered by the company’s latest, naturally aspirated flat six.
Few companies in the automotive world can transform restoration into art with the same mastery as Singer Vehicle Design. Founded in California in the early 2000s, Singer built its reputation by reinterpreting an absolute legend: the Porsche 911 of the 964 generation. And now, the brand presents another creation that elevates this concept to a new level – the Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet Reimagined by Singer.
To understand the magnitude of this launch, you need to understand what ‘Reimagined by Singer’ means. The company doesn't just restore a classic 911: it completely disassembles the car down to the original monocoque, reinforces the structure, applies modern engineering solutions, and rebuilds the vehicle by hand, respecting the essence of the model while taking it to a level of finish and performance that often surpasses the original.
Unlike many previous Singer projects, traditionally focused on coupe versions, this Cabriolet places the pleasure of open-air driving at the heart of the experience. The base remains a Porsche 911 from the 964 generation (produced between 1989 and 1994), but virtually every component is revised, improved, or recreated.

Visually, the convertible maintains classic and timeless proportions, but receives a meticulously molded carbon fiber body. Bumpers, hood, fenders, and panels are redesigned with millimeter precision, preserving the 911's DNA while improving aerodynamics and reducing weight. The result is an impressive balance between nostalgia and modernity.
Our services reference this car and celebrate another chapter in the evolution of the 911, with the ultimate, open-roof, naturally aspirated G model 911, reimagined for the twenty-first century. The sporting nature of the Carrera led us to reappraise the period roof mechanism to reduce weight and enable a sleek profile with the roof raised or lowered. The remarkable flat-six brings together our learnings from the last fifteen years and can now be heard more clearly than ever.
Singer is about to fulfill the dream of many: combining the classic charm of the Porsche 911 964 with modern technology in its dynamic performance. That's what it offers in its latest creation: the Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet Reimagined by Singer. A convertible sports car that takes inspiration from the rare wide-body 911 Cabriolets of the 1980s and elevates them to a new level of performance, technology and refinement.

The recipe is clear: classic essence, modern engineering and absolute focus on the pleasure of open-air driving.
420 hp naturally aspirated boxer engine...with a Cosworth soul...The main protagonist is a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, based on the Type 964, restored and enhanced by Singer with engineering from Cosworth.
It delivers 420 hp, reaches speeds above 8,000 rpm, and combines advanced technical solutions, such as a multi-valve cylinder head with variable valve timing. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, maintaining a purely analog driving experience.
Each unit is based on the original monocoque structure of the Porsche 911 Tipo 964, which is completely disassembled and reinforced to improve structural rigidity.
On this base, a lighter and more rigid carbon fiber body is installed, inspired by the Turbo-style models of the 80s. The new convertible top mechanism, with a "Z" folding design, reduces weight and maintains an elegant silhouette both open and closed.
In terms of dynamics, it incorporates modern elements such as electronically adjustable suspension, ABS and state-of-the-art stability control developed in partnership with Bosch, selectable driving modes, and carbon-ceramic brakes (optional).

A fully customized interior...Singer maintains its handcrafted philosophy, allowing each owner to configure their car according to their exact specifications. Premium materials, handcrafted leather, redesigned instrumentation, and sports or racing seats are among the available options.
Technology is discreetly integrated, with navigation and connectivity, without disturbing the classic cabin ambiance.

The Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet Reimagined by Singer will be an extremely limited edition: only 75 units. Each car is unique, created according to the customer's specifications and subjected to thousands of kilometers of testing on some of the world's most demanding circuits and development centers.
