TRIUMPH

Trident 660 2026

This new version, which will arrive at Spanish dealerships in March 2026 with a starting price of €8,895, has met user requests for a sportier character, without sacrificing the agility and accessibility that defined its predecessor.

The result is a machine that looks like it's "been to the gym," both mechanically and aesthetically, establishing itself as an ideal option for both those starting out in mid-displacement models and experienced riders seeking a pure and fun ride.

The most significant change is in the engine. The acclaimed 660 cc three-cylinder engine has undergone a considerable revision, increasing its power to 95 hp at 11,250 rpm, an increase of 14 hp compared to the previous model. This leap is no accident; Triumph has implemented three individual 44 mm throttle bodies, a larger airbox, and an optimized cylinder head.

It's also worth highlighting that, despite having its rev limit increased by 20% (to 12,650 rpm), the engine maintains a very usable torque delivery, with 80% of its 68 Nm consistently available between 3,000 and 12,000 rpm. This flexibility ensures immediate response in the city and exciting acceleration on winding roads, all managed by an assist clutch with a slipper mechanism that smooths each gear change.

Aesthetically, the 2026 Trident reinforces its roadster DNA with a more robust presence. The new fuel tank is now wider and features sculpted cutouts for the knees, improving rider integration and the feeling of control.

In terms of colors, premium options such as Cosmic Yellow and Stone Grey have been introduced, highlighting the quality of the finishes and the attention to detail typical of the British brand. Furthermore, ergonomics have been improved with a slightly wider handlebar that offers greater leverage and a split seat positioned at an accessible height of 810 mm, facilitating low-speed maneuvers despite the weight of 195 kg.

The chassis has also been improved to support the increased power. The addition of a new Showa rear shock with 130 mm of travel and preload and rebound adjustments allows for more precise control when the pace increases.

At the front, the 41 mm Showa BPF inverted suspension continues to ensure a firm feel, while braking is handled by two 310 mm discs with Nissin two-piston calipers and standard braided steel brake lines. Michelin Road 5 tires ensure that all this power is transferred to the asphalt with maximum safety, even on wet surfaces.

However, the real differentiator of the 2026 Trident is its technological package, uncommon in this price range. It features an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that allows the ABS and traction control to function optimally in curves, adjusting their intervention according to the lean angle. It also offers three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Rain).

In addition, it includes the standard Triumph Shift Assist system (bidirectional quickshifter), three riding modes, cruise control, and full LED lighting. The MyTriumph connectivity integrated into the TFT/LCD panel completes a package designed to simplify the life of the modern motorcyclist. With a 4-year warranty and servicing every 16,000 km, the 2026 Trident 660 is not only a more powerful and safer motorcycle, but also one of the smartest and most complete purchases on the market today.
