Totem GT Super SP

Totem Automobili has unveiled the GT Super SP - "Sport Prototipo" - the ultimate evolution of the GT Super and the company's most exclusive creation to date, a farewell masterpiece that marks the end of Totem's pioneering journey in the world of restoration.

Conceived as an icon for collectors, the GT Super SP will be produced in just ten copies for customers worldwide, each of which will be destined to embody the perfect fusion of heritage and innovation.

Like its predecessor, the GT Super SP is made entirely of carbon fiber, but represents a radical transformation both aesthetically and mechanically. The bodywork has been widened by 130 mm around the wheel arches, allowing for redesigned side sills that now integrate exhaust pipes developed in collaboration with German specialist Capristo, tuned to give the driver complete control over the car's acoustic presence. The removal of the rear exhausts has made way for a redesigned rear end, where sculpted air intakes optimise airflow, while a larger diffuser increases downforce and stability at speed.

This wider stance has required a redesign of the suspension geometry and chassis dynamics; the electronically adjustable suspension, developed in conjunction with ORAM of Como, allows for fully independent calibration of the front and rear via twin rotary selectors mounted on the steering wheel, allowing the driver to instantly adapt the setup to any conditions, proving the exceptional versatility of a car designed to be both thrillingly dynamic and comfortably usable.

The GT Super SP is powered by a 3.2-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine from Italtecnica, delivering 740 hp, while the six-speed manual transmission with a solid steel gear lever remains true to the Totem's purist philosophy.

To cope with the increased power and cooling demands, the front now features a more pronounced lower intake, with functional air vents integrated into the bonnet and front fenders to ensure thermal efficiency.

The interior reflects the same spirit of purposeful design: all of the vehicle’s controls have been reorganised within a centre console inspired by military aircraft cockpits, while the cabin features extensive use of herringbone carbon fibre in areas where leather would traditionally have predominated, including the bucket seats, roof lining and more trim details.

The debut example wears Bordeaux Red contrasting with a blue Dinamica interior, a livery reminiscent of the golden age of Italian motorsport between the late 1950s and early 1960s, further enhanced by gold accents and an extraordinary level of bespoke craftsmanship.

With the GT Super SP model, Totem Automobili closes its chapter in restoration, delivering a creation that celebrates purity of design, mechanical passion and artisanal excellence; only ten examples will be produced, ensuring that this final evolution becomes a timeless statement of what it means to respect the past while daring to redefine the future.
