Chrysler Pacifica Grizzly Peak concept

Chrysler, a pioneer in the minivan segment, unveiled the Chrysler Pacifica Grizzly Peak Concept at the Overland Expo Mountain West, held August 22-24, 2025, in Loveland, Colorado. It's a bold proposition that transforms the iconic minivan into a machine ready for off-road adventures and the van-life lifestyle. Inspired by the growing popularity of overlanding and adventure travel culture, this concept combines the Pacifica's renowned versatility with rugged modifications that make it ideal for exploring beyond the pavement, proving that the minivan can be much more than a family vehicle.

Chrysler has prepared the Pacifica Grizzly Peak concept for the Overland Expo Mountain West in Colorado, designed to appeal to both off-road and minivan enthusiasts

The Pacifica Grizzly Peak concept features raised ground clearance (70 mm front and 64 mm rear), 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires (31-inch BFGoodrich KO2), a matte Arktos exterior with a protective underbody film, a grizzly badge, a Rhino-Rack Pioneer platform (equipped with auxiliary lights and an ARB retractable awning), and Baja Designs yellow fog lights.

Inside, the Pacifica Grizzly Peak Concept was designed to meet the needs of adventurers seeking comfort and functionality. The third row of seats has been removed and replaced with a flat cargo area, ideal for gear storage or even as a sleeping surface, easily accommodating sleeping bags. Additional tie-down hooks behind the second row and a 115-volt/450-watt outlet ensure practicality for securing cargo or powering devices while camping.

The interior is sophisticated, with a Cement Gray color scheme with Liquid Titanium accents, Katzkin leather seats with orange stitching, and seat belts in the same vibrant hue. A perforated sports steering wheel and paddle shifters add a dynamic touch, while practical features like Mopar all-weather floor mats, stackable storage boxes, and a first aid kit complete the experience. These elements reinforce the concept of a vehicle that combines luxury with utility for long journeys.

The concept is based on the Pacifica Limited and features a striking interior with Katzkin leather seats with orange accents. The latter theme extends to the seat belts, contrast stitching, and a sport steering wheel.

While the Pacifica Grizzly Peak is still just a concept, its construction appears production-ready, with modifications that could easily be offered as an optional package. Chrysler is listening to audience feedback at the Overland Expo, and the success of models like the Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition suggests there's room in the market for a minivan with off-road appeal. However, concerns about the Pacifica's historical reliability, cited by some analysts, could be a deterrent for enthusiasts planning adventures in remote locations.

The Chrysler Pacifica Grizzly Peak Concept is an exciting reinvention of the minivan, demonstrating that it can go beyond family transportation and embrace the freedom of outdoor adventures. With a rugged design, versatile interior, and functional modifications, this concept proves that the Pacifica can be as stylish as it is practical, appealing to families and adventurers alike. If Chrysler decides to turn this concept into reality, it could redefine the role of minivans in the automotive market, bringing new energy to an often underrated segment.

The engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 214 kW/287 hp and 355 Nm of torque, and is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Chrysler has not yet confirmed whether the Grizzly Peak will develop into a production offering, but it would not be a surprise if it does.
