Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition

Mahindra has unveiled the "official" road-going Batmobile. Based on the BE 6, the model will be limited to 300 units and will be sold exclusively in India.

The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition has been developed in partnership with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products. This special edition is inspired by Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy, where Christian Bale wore the iconic costume.

Visually, the exterior combines a custom shade of satin black with glossy black accents. However, the element that stands out is the Batman emblem on the front doors, complemented by a gold bat emblem on the front fenders, according to Autonews. Gold is also found on the brake calipers, hidden behind 20-inch wheels. Designers have also added more emblems on the wheel covers, rear bumper and windows.

As expected, the Batman theme continues inside the cabin. Alcantara and leather upholstery are complemented by gold accents and details. The silhouette of the bat appears on the seats, on the instrument panel trim and in the dashboard graphics. The final distinctive detail is the numbered "Brushed Alchemy Gold Batman Edition" plaque placed on the center console.

This special edition is based on the most powerful version of the BE 6, which produces 282 hp and 380 Nm of torque from a single electric motor mounted at the rear. The 79 kWh battery enables a WLTP range of 550 km. Mahindra has even added Batman-inspired exterior sounds.

In addition, there is a Batman Edition sticker on the rear door protection and special lights that project a special sign, the Bat-Signal, onto the asphalt. Another highlight is the Infinity roof with an illuminated emblem engraved on the glass.

Prices start at around $27,200, about $1,000 more than the standard model. Mahindra will produce just 300 units, with orders starting August 23. First deliveries are scheduled for September 20, International Batman Day.
