Basalt REVOLT R

Baltasar REVOLT is a radical road-legal car focused solely on the thrill of sports driving. Can it get any more extreme? Yes – in the new Baltasar REVOLT R version.

The Spanish manufacturer of all-electric track-focused supercars is presenting the REVOLT R concept as a world premiere at the Barcelona International Motor Show, which runs until May 18. This new prototype is an extreme evolution of the original REVOLT model.

While the original REVOLT - unveiled in 2021 - enters the final stages of international homologation before its commercial launch in 2026, the development team led by engineer and entrepreneur Baltasar López is simultaneously developing an even more radical, aerodynamically optimized version designed for maximum performance on the track.

The REVOLT R Concept features an aggressive aerodynamic package that includes a new front end, splitter, side skirts and a large active rear wing with DRS. The driver can activate and deactivate DRS from the steering wheel, all complemented by a large diffuser.

The car comes with a single seat (an FIA-homologated carbon fiber racing seat), a removable Formula-style steering wheel and magnesium wheels fitted with slick tires. Both the REVOLT, which is approved for street driving, and the REVOLT R, which is only for the track, were developed entirely at Baltasar’s headquarters in Cerdanyola del Vallès and will be hand-built at the new production facility in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).

Like the original model, the REVOLT R is hand-built in carbon fiber and has an FIA-compliant safety cage. Its racing suspension – with elements made of carbon fiber, Kevlar and aluminum – ensures an ultra-light design (only 800 kg) and outstanding dynamic behavior.

The REVOLT R is fully electric (700-volt architecture) and is powered by a high-performance battery specially developed for the car in collaboration with MILLOR BATTERY, another technology company led by Baltazar Lopez. Thanks to its advanced architecture, the battery can be charged to 80% in just 5 minutes using fast DC chargers, in partnership with the leader in charging infrastructure Enchufing.

Not all the details are yet known, but the REVOLT R Concept is likely to have the same electric drive as the standard REVOLT, which has 500 hp and 1000 Nm of torque.

Each REVOLT is hand-built, tailored to the specifications of each individual customer, ensuring a unique and timeless creation. There is currently no confirmed launch date or official price for the production version of the REVOLT R Concept, but estimates are that it will cost around 450,000 euros.
