Land Rover Defender V8 Soft Top restomod for almost 230,000 euros
Summer is just around the corner, and Land Rover Classic has unveiled the perfect car for enjoying the sun and going to the beach. It's the Defender V8 Works Bespoke Soft Top, which exudes "old school" charm.
This is the first Defender Soft Top in almost a decade and is based on the Defender 90, which was produced between 2012 and 2016. When a donor copy was found, modifications followed.
Given that this is a "light restomod", there are no radical changes. The model has received a custom-made fabric roof, which is available in Black, Dark Khaki, Navy and Sand. The side and rear sections can be unzipped and rolled up, while maintaining a certain degree of protection from the external elements. Additional tie-down points have also been added to secure the roof at higher speeds on the motorway.

The interior is also customizable, and is offered in five single-tone and eight two-tone leather options, from Liberty Blue to Garnet. Customers can also get a custom surfboard rack, as well as a built-in wine cooler.
Customers looking for something more minimalist can opt for the Bikini Top, which is offered in the same colors and protects only the driver and front passenger. They can also choose from 49 body colors, but there is also the option to create a shade. In addition, it is possible to customize other details including the front grille, door handles, hood lettering and more.

16-inch steel wheels with mud tires are standard, but 18-inch wheels in black or Limestone are also available.
The Defender is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine, which develops 411 hp and 515 Nm of torque. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in around 6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 171 km/h.

Land Rover Classic has improved the driving experience thanks to more powerful Alcon brakes and improved suspension with Eibach stabilizers, Bilstein shock absorbers and springs.
The price in the UK excluding tax is at least 195,000 pounds, or 228,424 euros.
