The exotic Jaguar Type 00 rolled through the streets of the French capital 

Jaguar's latest creation rolled through Paris, which is seen as a prototype that anticipates a huge and luxurious two-door electric coupé. A four-door GT model will be released later this year.

Jaguar took advantage of Paris Fashion Week to parade the Type 00 through the streets of the French capital. The imposing model, whose official unveiling generated some controversy because the vehicle appeared painted pink and accompanied by a video in which the stars were androgynous individuals and not the car, has now been shown in a blue defined as French Ultramarine, a more consensual color than Miami Pink.

The images show the Type 00 slowly arriving at the Parisian fashion show, under the watchful eye of photographers and cameramen. From the doors that open in a rhythm, almost vertically, Irish actor Barry Keoghan emerged, who then took his coat from the trunk that opens almost horizontally, sliding over the bodywork. It is not known whether both the doors and the trunk lid will be retained for the series production version.

Afterwards, Keoghan returned to the Jaguar for a few more photos, during which it was possible to discover a little more of the interior of the Typo 00, which looks futuristic, but with details that we associate with the quality that is usually found in the brand's top of the range. To reinforce the feeling of an enveloping cockpit for the driver and passenger, there is a structure that connects the top of the dashboard to the area between the seats, at shoulder height. However, it is likely that Jaguar will present another solution for the four-door GT's cabin, an interior that favors the feeling of space, rather than the envelopment more usual in sports cars.

It’s unclear whether there’s any collaboration between Jaguar and Keoghan, but the British brand is certainly keen to present its grand electric concept as a work of art in the automotive industry. The car debuted during Miami Art Week, and Paris Fashion Week is arguably the biggest fashion event of the year. For Paris, Jaguar has swapped the pink exterior for a shade it’s calling French Ultramarine. The look looks much better, with a distinct electric blue vibe, albeit in a matte rather than glossy hue. The colour accentuates the Type 00’s minimalist exterior, which is largely devoid of features except for the rectangular brass ingots mounted just behind the front wheel arches. 

The fastback roofline has no rear window – cameras are used to see what’s going on behind the car. The butterfly doors open to reveal more minimalism inside, namely a pair of seats with two digital screens and a pillar that divides the greenhouse from front to back. In place of the rear window is an electrically operated panel that opens to access the cargo area. The Type 00 (pronounced zero-zero) Concept is a preview of Jaguar's long-awaited new production car, which is due to be launched later this year.

The battery capacity or power of the Type 00 have not yet been disclosed, but the British manufacturer has already announced that, in terms of autonomy, the target should be around 700 km, which for a model with these dimensions (and necessarily weight) will mean well over 100 kWh of capacity. In terms of power, Jaguar is also aiming for the top, as the most “muscular” version of the Type 00 is expected to reach 1000 hp.
