Tesla's day 

Tesla has seen its sales and stock price decline in recent months as Elon Musk has become increasingly politically interventionist. There have been some expressions of discontent with Tesla's CEO and even vandalism of some of the North American brand's vehicles. In an attempt to counter all of this, Donald Trump launched an initiative to help his friend Elon Musk.

Several Tesla vehicles were placed at the door of the White House and the reactions were immediate. Many critics, some of whom have media visibility in the American press, went so far as to say that the White House briefly resembled a Tesla dealership. Donald Trump appeared alongside Elon Musk, who was accompanied by one of his sons, and right there bought a Model S. Without a discount, as he himself made a point of emphasizing. In addition to the tram purchased by the 78-year-old Republican, more Tesla cars were lined up there, notably a Cybertruck.

"As part of the great policies of President Trump and his administration, and as an act of faith in America, Tesla will double its production in the United States over the next two years," Musk, a close aide to the Republican president, said as he stood next to Trump admiring Tesla models displayed in one of the entrances to the White House.

In front of the American press and in a public relations move to support Musk, which included television rights, Trump received the businessman at the White House today, choosing from among several Tesla models one that he promised to buy.

The American president specified that he would pay by check, but said that he "was not authorized to drive because [he] had not driven a car for a long time", so the car would be made available to his staff at the White House.

The Republican also joked that he would not ask Musk, who was the most generous contributor to his victorious election campaign in November 2024, for a discount. "He cannot be punished for being a patriot," said the American president, alongside the billionaire and his son.

During the initiative, the US president praised the quality of Tesla cars and came to the defense of Elon Musk.

"I'm going to buy a" Tesla because it's "a very good product" and because Elon Musk has been "treated very unfairly," Trump said. Check out the images in the video below.
