Ford Mustang LMGT3 catches fire in the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC)
Bernardo Sousa 'got' a scare this Friday, February 28, during his participation in the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC), in Qatar. The Portuguese driver's car, a Ford Mustang LMGT3, started to catch fire.
Bernardo Sousa did not escape a big scare in the opening race of the FIA World Endurance Championship, held in Qatar on Friday. The Portuguese driver saw his Ford Mustang LMGT3 catch fire in the middle of the race and had the nerve to stop in a safe place and get out of the car. Bernardo Sousa's calmness left no one indifferent and the FIA WEC itself made a point of highlighting the moment, applauding the Portuguese driver's stance.

"Not all heroes wear capes. Stunning images from inside Bernardo Sousa's Ford Mustang LMGT3 as he bravely waited to bring the car to a safe stop as it caught fire," read the FIA WEC publication.
The Portuguese driver managed to park and ended up having to abandon the race. "He finished! It didn't turn out the way we wanted, but that's racing. I am so happy for what we did against all odds,” she wrote in the caption of the post. The influencer reacted: "So proud," says the text.
