Volvo Construction Equipment launches new line of loaders in Brazil

Volvo Construction Equipment is launching the L110H and L120H wheel loaders in Brazil, produced at its Brazilian plant, located in Pederneiras (SP). The models feature improvements that increase productivity by up to 12% and fuel savings by up to 28% compared to their predecessors. The new machines deliver high availability in segments such as mining, industry, civil construction and also in heavy infrastructure projects.

The new Volvo L110H and L120H are versatile machines that complement the brand's technological update and loader portfolio. There are now 11 models, starting with the L60H, with an operating weight of 13,600 kg, and going up to the L350H (56,300 kg). The L110H has an operating weight of 20,700 kg. The L120H, on the other hand, weighs 21,600 kg. "We have a complete line, for the entire weight range. These are state-of-the-art models, the same ones available in Europe and the US,” says Gilson Capato, commercial director of Volvo CE in Brazil.

New features and advances...The loaders have the new Volvo D8L engine. It has 228 hp in the L110H and 241 hp in the L120H. It is a 5% more powerful engine with higher levels of reliability and efficiency than the previous version. It has high torque at low revs, as in the other Volvo H series loaders.

The Eco Pedal function helps save fuel by instructing the operator to reduce the equipment's revs to high efficiency levels.

The Rimpull Control regulates tire traction on slippery terrain to prevent slipping and excessive fuel consumption.

The Delayed Engine Shutdown helps cool the engine, which ensures a longer service life for the components.

Another highlight is the new transmission, which can be equipped with OptiShift technology. “This Volvo system uses intelligent algorithms to optimize gear shifting, torque and oil pressure, adapting to real-time working conditions,” explains Guilherme Ferreira, product specialist at Volvo CE.

A new Traction Force Control function makes loading more efficient and improves performance on slopes. This reduces fuel consumption and tire wear.

To facilitate maintenance, the Volvo L110H and L120H loaders offer unrestricted access to vital components. The engine hood opens electrically.

Safety...In line with Volvo's Zero Accidents vision, the ideal for the brand's products, safe access to the equipment is a priority. The handhold is highlighted in orange to draw the operator's attention to the three support points for getting on and off the excavator. Steps with corrugated plates prevent slipping.

The operator has a 3-point seat belt as standard. Invented by Volvo, this device is one of the brand's great legacies that benefit society as a whole. The excavators offer four light packages to suit any operation, with LED or halogen lamp options.

The tipping load limit has increased by 4% on the L110H and 6% on the L120H.

Ergonomics and productivity... Inside the cabin, the operator's seat has lumbar, head and armrest support, with height, depth and tilt adjustments. The digital panel has been redesigned. The interface is more user-friendly and has more functions, which has reduced the number of buttons on the column.

In the entire H series, the controls are now electro-hydraulic, which increases comfort and precision in movements. The levers have the joystick option. And a new feature: equipment with the 4th hydraulic function offers the optional joystick with the 4 integrated functions.

The new loaders come standard with Volvo Co-Pilot, a set of technologies that increase productivity, efficiency and safety. Features such as Load Assist, Load Measurement System (Task Mode) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), among others, are available.

Services... Owners of new Volvo loaders have access to a complete portfolio of services that further increase the productivity of their equipment:

Service Plans - available in Blue, Silver and Gold options, include inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs. The inclusion of connected services in the offerings is a novelty in the market.

CareTrack - telemetry platform that allows you to track the location and performance of machines in real time. Optimizes fleet management and maintenance.

ActiveCare - active monitoring service for machines in the field through telemetry data. Generates performance reports to help identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Connected Map - Volvo's newest launch, is a complete operational control tool that allows you to monitor the location, speed and operation of the entire fleet of machines, from different brands, in a given work site.

Parts e-commerce - platform that offers a wide variety of genuine components for Volvo equipment.

Made in Brazil...Produced in the country, the Volvo L110H and L120H loaders can be purchased through Finame, a special financing line from BNDES operated by financial agents such as Volvo Financial Services.
