AUTONEWS

Two car salesmen have a disagreement in India that results in a fire in a 340,000 euro Lamborghini Gallardo

Although the Lamborghini Gallardo was born in Italy, its end took place in India, where two sellers at a used vehicle stand were unable to reach an agreement on who managed to sell the super sports car and, by extension, who was responsible for receiving the commission from the deal. . The case took place in Hyderabad, the fourth largest city in India, with around 7 million inhabitants.

The Gallardo is a well-known Lamborghini super sports car, manufactured between 2003 and 2013, of which 14,022 units were produced. This predecessor of the current Huracán had a powerful V10 engine with 5 liters of displacement that was sold in versions with 560 hp. Capable of reaching 325km/h and exceeding 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, the Gallardo was traded between us for 270 thousand euros, in some versions, which in India was equivalent to 340 thousand euros, in rupees. The version of the Gallardo that burned down in India was the Spyder, a convertible with a retractable canvas top.

According to social media and The Times of India, the Lamborghini was consumed by flames after a meeting between two local inhabitants, Neeraj, who filed a complaint with the police, and Ahmed, who was accused of transforming the Gallardo on a gigantic barbecue on wheels. The fire that ended up completely consuming the Italian coupé took place during a meeting between the two Indians, who intended to resolve their different positions on the business, on April 13th.

The meeting between the two men active in the used vehicle sector could have had the objective of pacifying the dispute between them, but the conversation did nothing more than inflame — in this case, literally — a situation that was already at a fever pitch. It is unknown what caused the fire. It is known that, according to the police, Neeraj had the Gallardo registered in his name and filed a complaint with the police, while Ahmed disappeared from the map, according to the authorities.
