Porsche 911 964 GBR002 Theon Design
In March of this year, Theon Design had presented the ITA001, a restomod made for an Italian client based on a 911 964. Now it's the turn of another version, called GBR002, in which the British specialist has raised the bar.
This new recreation is painted in Oak Green, as well as 18-inch Fuchs-style wheels. Along with this, the air-cooled 4.0L boxer 6-cylinder engine received more power, now reaching 412 hp at 7,200 rpm and 442 Nm at 5,800 rpm - 12 hp and 15 Nm more than in the first.
The car arrives, as expected, mated to a new 6-speed manual transmission from Hewland. The body of this GBR002 is made entirely of carbon fiber, which allows it to weigh just 1,169 kg on the scale - 200 kg less than the original model. In total, this classic 911 made by Theon Design registers 100 hp/liter of specific power, slightly less than the current 911 GTS.
Another new feature is the inclusion of an electronically controlled damping system from TracTive, with five leveling levels. It also features a Torsen-style limited-slip differential and a braking system inherited from an RS.
Theon Design also decided to rework the controls and buttons in the aluminum interior. The upholstery on the seats and door upholstery is in Muslin leather, with green and gray fabric details matching the exterior. A modern element is Bluetooth and the smartphone's induction charging system.
The price has not been announced, but Theon Design usually charges a base price of around 440,000 euros.
