TOYOTA CROWN SIGNIA 2025: SOFISTICADO E COM POWERTRAIN HÍBRIDO

Toyota Crown Signia 2024

Since the launch of the original Toyota Crown in 1955, the Crown name has been constantly updated and has meant high sales in Japan. These are sales that the Japanese company now wants to boost with up to four different bodies. This week, the fourth of them, the Toyota Crown Signia, was presented in Los Angeles.

Remembering that the Toyota Crown is part of a segment where luxury, comfort, silence and reliability prevail. So much so that it even has its own logo. Despite being strong in these points, the model never stopped adapting to the needs of each era. The last delivery, in fact, gave a radical turn to the concept of the vehicle.

The Toyota Crown Signia will arrive in United States dealerships during the summer of 2024 in the northern hemisphere.

The new Crown family is based on the TNGA platform and will be sold in approximately 40 countries and regions around the world. Intended to be the replacement for the Toyota Venza in terms of dimensions, this new SUV stands out with smooth body contours, slender full-width LED taillights, relatively short overhangs and a fairly low roofline.

The icing on the cake are the 19 or 20 inch wheels. In terms of dimensions, we are talking about a vehicle measuring 4,930 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and 1,620 mm high. The wheelbase is 2,769 mm. This makes it slightly smaller than the Toyota Highlander, which is just above it in the lineup. There are five colors for the exterior, and two combinations for the interior.

In it, quality and technology go hand in hand. We can find a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia infotainment system. The latter offers cloud-based navigation, over-the-air updates, and a smart assistant that responds to the wake word “Hey, Toyota.”

In terms of equipment, there will be two trims, the Access XLB and the Limited. Depending on the choice, we can find front seats with heating and eight-way electric adjustment, fabric and Softex upholstery, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charger, acoustic windows, leather upholstery, JBL sound system, adaptive suspension, etc.

Under the hood of the new Crown Signia is a hybrid powertrain. It combines a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, two electric motors, an eCVT transmission and a newly developed high-performance nickel metal hydride battery. It offers a combined power of 246 hp (181 kW) sent to all four wheels via an electric 4WD system.

Last but not least, in terms of driving assistance and safety, the Crown Signia includes the latest generation of Toyota Safety Sense, called 3.0. Thanks to this it equips automatic high beams, dynamic radar cruise control, traffic sign recognition, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, warning and lane keeping, Toyota Safety Connect, etc.
