Toyota appears to be aiming to explore other planets. The well-known car manufacturer has unveiled the first space buggy, called Toyota Space Mobility.
The vehicle is equipped with robust wheels, an open roof, four electric motors and a fully controllable chassis. The buggy is able to overcome slopes of up to 25 degrees and easily climb over rocks 50 centimeters high. Its compact dimensions, 3460 × 2175 × 1865 mm, allow it to remain agile, which is extremely important in extraterrestrial environments.
The company stated that it already has a working prototype of the vehicle and will soon begin full testing, although for now on Earth. If the test results are successful, in the near future Toyota Space Mobility could be used to move around the Moon.
