PATAK MOTORS

Patak Rodster from Slovakia
The microcar segment has been on the rise lately, with plenty of new offerings coming not only from renowned manufacturers, but smaller companies as well.
This is exactly the case with the Patak Motors brand from Slovakia, which recently presented its Roadster quad bike with a retro look, inspired by the classic sports cars of the 1930s.
Unlike the heavy quadricycle models in the L7 class, the Patak Roadster looks a bit more like a hotrod instead of an urban vehicle. With its one-piece body, bulging headlights at the front and a short windshield, this machine looks like it would fit right in at a Morgan dealership. The fully exposed nineteen-inch mesh wheels come without wings, while the radiator grille is also unique, personalization options include exterior color heels, combined with chrome accents, metallic black or matte silver finishes.

The Roadster has a two-seat layout in the passenger cabin, with an optional manually operated sunroof. According to the company’s website, the car comes with a touchscreen as standard, although press releases describe the interior as a flat wooden dashboard with a few analog segments. The seats can be upholstered in eco or real leather, with an optional rear luggage rack to improve practicality. The list of optional features includes heating, cup holders, wireless charging, parking sensors and a reversing camera.

Patak Roadster measures 3,360 millimeters in length, 1,360 mm in width and 1,395 mm in height. This special Slovak model makes it 272 millimeters shorter than the Fiat 500e series, but a full 950 mm longer than the miniature Citroen Ami. In terms of weight, this machine arrives with a maximum of 450 kilograms, which is essentially a typical figure for this particular segment.
The internal combustion version of the Duck is powered by a tiny single-cylinder petrol engine that creates 20 hp, a power output limited to the L7 range. This model takes nine seconds to accelerate to 50 km/h from zero and has a top speed of 125 km/h, which is significantly higher than other heavy quadricycles.

Buyers who want a zero-emissions version of the Patak Roadster have two options, both of which come equipped with a single electric motor that makes the same 20 hp, but come with two different battery packs. The base model has a 10 kWh battery pack that offers a range of one hundred kilometers, while the second version comes with twice as powerful batteries and offers a range of 250 kilometers. electric models are faster and more responsive compared to their petrol twin, with acceleration to fifty in seven seconds and a top speed of 130 km/h.

The most affordable Patak Roadster is the version with a gasoline engine that starts at 16,900 euros. The fully electric model arrives with a price of 22,900 or 25,400 euros if customers opt for the version with a larger battery pack and a larger transition range.
