MV Agusta Lucky Explorer 2024

In a surprising departure from its established nomenclature, MV Agusta, the renowned Italian motorcycle manufacturer, has decided to rebrand its highly anticipated adventure motorcycle formerly known as the Lucky Explorer.

Lucky Explorer, colloquially called LXP, initially attracted a lot of attention with its unique name. Enthusiasts expected the new adventure model to maintain this special nomenclature, thereby establishing its uniqueness within the company’s MV Agusta product line. However, the information that confirms the somewhat more conventional nomenclature is tight.

The Enduro Veloce name is harmonized with the existing MV Agusta nomenclature. With this change, Lucky Explorer becomes a relic of the past, relegated to the annals of history as the name of a concept that once piqued the curiosity of many two-wheel enthusiasts.

In addition to the rebranding, photos leaked from Australian certification documents reveal that the new adventure bike will be decked out in MV Agusta’s signature red and silver colors, reminiscent of the Superveloce and other iconic models. These shades, together with the bronze decorative elements, confirm MV Agusta’s commitment to a distinctive visual identity for its motorcycles.

One of the primary reasons for abandoning the LXP name is that the Lucky Explorer was established as a sub-brand, and the models were marketed under this sub-brand designation. By adopting the Enduro Veloce name, MV Agusta can now officially label the LXP as part of its primary production line, specifically the 9.5 version, which boasts a three-cylinder engine. This change in nomenclature clearly emphasizes the intended off-road purpose in the portfolio of the renowned manufacturer.

The initial run will consist of 500 units, with the first few likely to be labeled “first editions”, possibly with additional enhancements for early adopters – although this remains unconfirmed.

Moreover, MV Agusta has plenty of excitement in store for the EICMA show this year, hinting at the potential unveiling of the Enduro Veloce in their 2024 line-up.
