AUTONEWS

The BMW GS has become lighter and stronger
According to BMW Motorrad, the BMW R 1300 GS is better than its predecessor in all respects, the soul of which is the newly developed, exactly 1300 cc 2-cylinder boxer, in which the controls have been modified and the gearbox is installed under the block. The output is 145 hp (7750/min), the torque is 149 Nm (6500/min), so this is the most powerful BMW boxer, and it must move a machine that is 12 kg lighter than before.

The lighting is entirely LED, with the matrix LED headlight, the light turns on when turning depending on the decision. The Riding Assistant package can be purchased as an additional equipment for the new BMW 1300 GS, which includes Active Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (SWW). Active cruise control (ACC) with built-in distance control function allows you to set the desired speed and following distance. The function of the warning signal for the risk of a head-on collision is to make it possible to avoid a collision and to reduce the severity of the accident. The Lane Change Warning constantly monitors the left and right lanes, making lane changes safer – during which the rider must, of course, still use the mirrors.

In addition to the basic appearance, Triple Black, GS Trophy (Racingblue paintwork with red and white stickers) and Option 719 Tramuntana (gold-colored rims, Aurelis Green paintwork, milled aluminum parts) can be selected.
