Marco Bezzecchi already showed it with his spectacular comeback in Saturday's sprint that had a brutal pace. But he had to prove it in a very tough race with 21 laps. And boy has he made it clear. 'Bez' led from start to finish, expanding the advantage each lap and finishing with more than 8 seconds of advantage over Jorge Martín.
A Martín who was a true reflection of how hard Sunday was at the Buddh circuit. Since he crossed the finish line completely exhausted and had to be treated in the same closed area as the podium by the MotoGP medical team. A difficult podium for him, which is a great reward in terms of points, and even more so taking into account Bagnaia's fall.
The mistake of the current MotoGP champion when he was running second was a totally unexpected coup for a rider as reliable as him. And he greatly compresses the general classification that continues with Bagnaia in front, but only with 13 points ahead of Martín and 44 over Bezzecchi who does not give up.
A special Grand Prix for the rest of the champions on the current MotoGP grid. Fabio Quartararo returned to the podium, Joan Mir had the best race since he became a Honda driver; while Marc Márquez was very fast all weekend and despite his crash when he was running fourth, he rejoined the race and came back to finish ninth.
A shot of optimism before traveling to Japan, to Honda's house in Motegi, and where if he complies with what he said in recent weeks, Márquez will announce where he will race in 2024.
