HENNESSEY
Venom F5 Revolution Roadster
Hennessey started the year with a bang when it presented its hypersport coupe prepared for track use, but with license plates. And now, the American specialist has raised the bar even higher when it created its open-top version.
While for an average roadster it is enough to strengthen the body so that the frame does not twist due to the lack of a roof, in the case of such an extreme car, much more modifications are required if we want to keep the open vehicle on the road.
Hennessey has therefore completely reworked the aerodynamics of the model, increased the size of the front and rear aprons, modified the rear wing – and of course the roof is brand new, made of carbon fiber composite.
The heat- and sound-insulated frame is covered with Alcantara from the inside, the weight of the bomb-proof panel, which can be attached at several points, does not exceed 8 kilograms, so it does not require effort to assemble and disassemble.
The suspension, the wheels, and the digital telemetry system for racetrack use are new. The central horn carried over from the F5 Revolution coupe feeds the engine with fresh air, which is the only element of the construction that has not been touched.
The 6.6-liter, twin-turbo V8 located in the middle of the carbon fiber monocoque frame structure has a maximum output of 1,842 horsepower, and the engine compartment lid is made of specially tempered glass.
The Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster will be produced in only twelve copies, as they were sold in advance, for three million dollars (1 billion 70 million HUF) each. However, this is only the starting price, it is possible to go even higher.
For example, only five of the Bare Carbon (bare carbon fiber) version shown in the pictures will be made, and its cover panels are made of hand-arranged, woven carbon fibers. Some of the surfaces were left unvarnished and only varnished, while other elements were given a silk-gloss black paint. The association of the two types of elaboration provides an extraordinary aesthetic experience.
