TRK 702 and TRK 702 X: the new weapons of the Pesaro brand
The Benelli TRK 502 have become a real success, especially in Italy, where they have been the undisputed leaders in their segment for some time, but also in other countries like ours, where the combination they offer with a size and high comfort, and the good performance of its engine, together with an economy that extends from its purchase price to its maintenance.
The larger displacement versions have been waiting, but after being presented in several editions of the autumn shows, we already have them in our stores. The TRK 702, in its two versions, the standard and the X, more adventure-oriented in which off-road routes are more heavily involved, are already on sale in our country.
KNOWN BASE...Actually the new Benelli TRK 702 maintain the same mechanical platform as their younger sisters. The inline two-cylinder engine has the same architecture, but a larger displacement. Its cylinders have increased in size and now have dimensions of 83.0 x 64.5 mm, giving it a total displacement of 698 cc, compared to the 500 cc of the 502, whose cylinders are 69.0 x 66.8 mm.

This shorter stroke causes the power of 70 CV to be obtained at 8,750 rpm, a speed 250 rpm higher than in its sister, something that can be extended to the maximum torque, which is 68 NM, also at 250 rpm above . MODERN MECHANICS...The engine features four-valve cylinder heads actuated by a double overhead camshaft timing system with chain drive. The crankshaft is set with the traditional 180°. The electronic fuel injection system has a double body of butterflies of 41 mm in diameter. TRAIL STRUCTURE...The suspensions include an inverted fork with 50mm diameter tubes and 140mm of travel at the front, and a central monoshock with preload adjustment and hydraulic rebound, with 154mm wheel travel. The wheels of the standard version are 17" alloy on both trains, while on the X they are spoked, with the front being 19" due to its more country orientation.
The brakes have two 320 mm diameter front discs that are bitten by four-piston calipers, and a 260 mm diameter rear disc with a one-piston caliper. Given its tourist orientation, the TRK 702 have a 20-liter fuel tank, and also equipment that includes large handles for the passenger, full LED headlights.

CONNECTIONABLE...The high resolution 5'' TFT color screen has a Bluetooth connection to connect to your phone and display incoming calls and notifications. The handlebar pineapples allow you to answer or end calls. In addition, by downloading an application on your mobile phone and connecting via Wi-Fi, through a phone-mirroring solution it will be possible to transform the motorcycle's frame into a browser.
Aerodynamic protection is ensured by a large front fairing with a line reminiscent of its younger sister, but with differences. The controls include backlit pineapples, to improve their operation at night and as optional accessories there are heated grips and the pilot's seat, with their pre-installation already available on series motorcycles.

TWO OPTIONS... As with the 502, the new TRK 702 will be available in two versions, the standard and the X, which is more geared towards adventure and has both aesthetic and equipment differences: The spoked wheels are equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR mixed tires in sizes 110/80-19” and 150/70-17, the front discs have parallel twin-piston calipers and the three-way adjustable rear shock absorber provides the wheel with a travel of 173 mm.
The Benelli TRK 702 is now available at Benelli dealers in three colors: anthracite grey, forest green and pearl white with a price of €7,790 and its version limited to 35 kW for €7,490. The TRK 702 X has the color options: Dune Sea, Forest Green and Moon grey, with prices of €8,090 and €7,790 respectively.
