Yamaha R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary

R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary Limited Edition

In honor of the 25th birthday of its most famous superbike, Yamaha has launched the R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary Limited Edition.

The GYTR Pro 25th Anniversary model comes equipped with several standard upgrades to improve performance. Notable additions include a carbon subframe, a modified fuel tank with a lower center of gravity and a Magneti Marelli engine control unit (ECU). Up front are Ohlins FGR forks, while a TTX rear shock with pneumatic preload adjustment provides more predictable handling and superior suspension.

In addition, an undercut rear fork, previously developed for WSBK, complements improved Brembo brake calipers at both ends. The full carbon fiber body further reduces weight and optimizes aerodynamic performance.

The bike offers the option of the GYTR PRO Electronic System (GPES) module, an advanced electronic engine package that provides data acquisition and control. GPES allows drivers to access the latest electronic software aids, such as launch control, engine braking management, adjustable fueling and traction control.

With only 25 units planned for production in the European region, Yamaha is heralding this model as the ultimate R1. Each copy will be assembled in the GYTR Pro Shop at the owner’s option. What’s more, lucky owners will have the privilege of personalized tuning, carried out by a team of Yamaha technicians, ensuring an experience similar to the treatment given to factory riders in the WSBK Championship.
