Is Moto Guzzi Reviving The Stelvio Adventure-Tourer?

New generation Moto Guzzi Stelvio

Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Moto Guzzi, attracted a lot of attention with the launch of its V100 Mandello model.

Known for its distinctive armor and retro design, Moto Guzzi has taken a step towards modernity with the technologically advanced V100 Mandello, equipped with high-tech components and a powerful 1,042 cc engine.

Building on this success, Moto Guzzi last year announced the revival of its beloved Stelvio adventure bike. The company presented a teaser with the Stelvio jet next to an eagle flying over the iconic pass of the same name. Originally shelved due to poor sales, the company’s decision to revive the Stelvio reflects the growing demand for litre-class adventure bikes.

Sneak peeks posted on Facebook offer a glimpse of the upcoming Stelvio, revealing similarities to the V100 Mandello motorcycle. The facelifted Stelvio includes several modifications to improve its off-road capabilities, including spoked wheels with dual-purpose tires, long-travel suspension, an adjustable windshield and hand guards.

The new Stelvio is poised to be the company’s most technologically advanced model to date. Sources suggest it could have radar cruise control, IMU traction control, ABS, multiple traction modes and potentially even electronically adjustable suspension.

While Moto Guzzi remains tight-lipped on specific details, insiders speculate that the Stelvio will make its long-awaited debut at the EICMA show in the fall. Fans of adventure motorcycles eagerly await its premiere with great excitement.
