Kawasaki Eliminator 450

Kawasaki recently unveiled its latest creation, the Eliminator, a standard light-to-midweight motorcycle that aims to meet the demands of everyday riders.. With a focus on rider comfort, this machine combines performance, comfort and retro styling reminiscent of Kawasaki’s power cruisers from the eighties.

At the heart of the Eliminator lies a brand new 451 cc parallel twin engine, derived from the renowned Ninja series. To improve low-end torque, Kawasaki increased the stroke by 6.8mm, resulting in an overall displacement increase of 52cc.

The engine has the same 5.8 liter airbox found on the 400cc unit. It wouldn’t be surprising to see this upgraded power unit found in other Kawasaki models in the future, although some markets, such as Japan, will continue to use the 399cc engine.

Designed for lightness and agility, the Eliminator boasts a lightweight chassis with an upright riding position and a 734mm seat height. The trellis frame, developed using advanced dynamic stiffness analysis, contributes to both overall weight reduction and a low seat height.

In addition, the rear fork attached directly to the engine via an aluminum swingarm mounting plate provides improved torsional stiffness without the need for additional bracing.

Fitted with 18/16-inch wheels, the Eliminator uses 130/70-18 front and 150/80-16 rear tires. Braking power is provided by a single 310mm rotor with two-piston calipers at the front, complemented by a 220mm rear disc that also holds two pistons.

It is important to note that ABS will only be available on select Eliminator models.

In the era of connectivity, the Eliminator brings technology with Bluetooth functionality integrated into the dashboard. Riders can use the Kawasaki Rideology app to access vehicle information, log their rides, receive notifications on their mobile phone and adjust various motorcycle settings.
