CHEVROLET COLORADO ZR2 BISON 2024: POUCAS COISAS RESISTEM À NOVA PICK-UP

Colorado ZR2 Bison 2024

Chevrolet has just renewed the high-performance version of its flagship pick-up, the Chevrolet Colorado. As on previous occasions, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison 2024 was developed in collaboration with the company American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), although on this occasion the American brand speaks of it as the most capable vehicle in its segment.

Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the new 2024 ZR2 Bison is even more capable off the road thanks to a carefully selected cast of all-terrain parts. These are installed on the already solid base of the ZR2. The model will be available in the second half of the year with some options such as a sunroof. For now, Chevrolet has not announced its price.

The renewed Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison includes five steel skid plates that protect the underside, compared to the three previous plates. The fuel tank and rear differential are now covered for maximum protection in the toughest terrain. In addition, it achieves a total of 310 mm of ground clearance, 38 mm more than the ZR2.

Thanks to this, the entry, ventral and exit angles are 38.2, 26.9 and 26 degrees, respectively. Entry angle is slightly lower than the ZR2 due to the AEV bumper, but the other dimensions are better on the Bison. Updates add Multimatic rebound control dampers that improve on the ZR2's Multimatic dampers.

To all this is added an increase in the dimensions of all-terrain tires from 33 to 35 inches. They wear 17-inch locking wheels developed by American Expedition Vehicles. These hide under fenders developed by the company. The bumpers are also the work of the specialist and the front one can mount a winch.

At the rear, capacity increases by 147 kg to 2,388 kg, while cargo space is reduced as a result of the location of the spare wheel. Under the hood, the 2024 ZR2 and ZR2 Bison are identical. Both mount the well-known 2.7 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. In this delivery, it develops 314 hp of power and 583 Nm of maximum torque.
