Ford Transit offered in the Chinese market may have a 7- or 8-speed manual transmission
In April, we saw the first photos of the updated Ford Transit sent to the Chinese brand office, and now the JMC factory itself has released some photos of the new product, whose mass production will start soon. For now, there is no mention of the previously seen battery-electric version, and it has also been clarified that there is no new diesel, the 2.3-liter engine is the EcoBoost turbo, which is the alternative to the 2.0-liter diesel in China.
The updated utility will be produced in versions with a longitudinal and transverse engine, the transmission in the first case can be a 7-speed manual (Magna is the supplier) or an 8-speed automatic (ZF), for the transverse engine, it will be possible to choose between a 6-speed manual transmission and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
New is that rear air suspension which can be controlled from the touchscreen will also be on the options list, a driver support system capable of partial self-driving will also be available, the ESP provided in the base price is the Bosch version 9.3 system.
