O veículo blindado Senator MRAP pode resistir à explosão de uma mina

Roshel Smart Armored Vehicles introduced its new Senator MRAP armored vehicle

At the CANSEC exhibition in Ottawa, the Canadian company Roshel Smart Armored Vehicles presented its new development - the Senator MRAP armored vehicle.

The armored vehicle is based on the Ford F-550. The all-wheel drive Senator is equipped with a 6.7-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 330 hp. 10 soldiers can be accommodated inside. While in the combat zone, they can fire through gaps. They also have special mine resistant seats.

One of the main advantages of the Senator MRAP is its armored protection. Thanks to its reinforced underside, it can withstand a 6 kg anti-tank mine and a 7.62 x 39 mm machine gun attack at a distance of 30 meters.

The cabin is an armored capsule with armored doors and laminated bulletproof glass. The vehicle is armed with a Rheinmetall Fieldranger remote-controlled combat turret, which can be mounted with machine guns, automatic grenade launchers or ATGMs.
